Queen of the Court: Liz Lange
There are certain women whose style and point of view stay with you for years, and for me, Liz Lange has always been one of them. Long before Club & Court, I remember wearing one of her iconic little red maternity shirt dresses through both of my pregnancies. I was completely obsessed with it—timeless, flattering, effortless, and somehow both classic and bold at the same time.
More recently, I listened to Liz on the Just Enough Family podcast and was captivated by her family story, her honesty, and the world she comes from. It made me admire her even more.
Style-wise, I’ve always felt there was a natural overlap between Liz and Club & Court—a love of color, pattern, entertaining, and creating spaces that feel collected and personal. I’ve long admired the way she restored and reimagined Grey Gardens, filling the legendary home with vibrant color, charm, and personality while still respecting its history.
From fashion to interiors to entertaining, Liz has a way of making life feel joyful and unapologetically stylish. We are so excited to feature her as our next Queen of the Court.

What's your favorite hotel?
The Ritz in Paris. No hotel is more elegant and I often dream about their breakfast served in a glass and trellised courtyard. Pure magic. I particularly love (yes for breakfast!) their signature marble cake slices with chocolate icing.
What’s your hosting signature? (drink, dish, or vibe)
Abbondanza! I think more is more, especially when it comes to food. I like to do large buffets which feature a wide variety of choices—something for everyone. And I do the same for dessert. Multiple cakes and cookies plus a bit of fruit for those who want to be boring and healthy. 😂

Early morning. I am up by 6.
Who’s inspiring your style right now?
Krystle Carrington. I am loving that 1980s over the top glamour look right now.
What would be the theme song of your life?
"My Way" by Frank Sinatra.
What's your favorite vacation destination?
These days it is my house in Palm Beach. When I'm there I truly feel like I'm on vacation.
What's on your bedside table?
My iPad, my iPhone and my mahjong card (i love to play online.)
What's your favorite place to play tennis?
My house in East Hampton.
Grass or Clay?
Our court is grass and it's so inviting, some people even play barefoot.
What's your favorite song of all time?
"Only Love Can Break Your Heart" by Neil Young but impossible to pick just one.
Favorite movie?
Annie Hall
What are you binging right now on Netflix?
The Other Bennet Sister. It's a 10 episode miniseries based on one of my favorite books, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
What's your favorite lip gloss?
I am particularly fond of Westman Atelier's Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm. I love all of the colors, but Garconne is my favorite. It gives high shine without that hair sticking to your mouth stickiness of most.
What's your favorite perfume?
I don't wear perfume. But if Diptyque offered a perfume based on their "Baies" scented candle, I'd wear that.
What don't you ever leave the house without?
My Caddis reading glasses and my miu miu sunglasses. I am lost without them.
What’s your go-to summer cocktail?
Cranberry juice and club soda (half an half), no lime, on ice, with a straw. My friends call it the "Liz Lange" because I drink it so often.
Favorite restaurant in the Hamptons?
My house. I love to entertain at home—and do so on most evenings, as the restaurants are mostly overcrowded and loud—but when I do go out, I love Tutto il Giorno in Sag harbor.
What book are you currently reading?
I just finished The Correspondent, which I highly recommend. It's an epistolary novel but don't let that put you off. I couldn't put it down.
Most interesting fact about Grey Gardens, or perhaps something most people don’t know about the property?
The Beale's beloved dog Spot was buried on the property in 1942, and his headstone is still there. It's very beautifully engraved with the words, "A nobler gentleman has never lived. Beloved by all who knew him."
