Chers amis,
It’s hard to believe the summer is halfway over. The French Open and Wimbledon were amazing to watch. Congrats to Swiatek and Rafa at the French Open, and to Djokovic and Rybakina last week at Wimbledon. I get so much joy in watching all the matches. Now, I look forward to the summer finale in Arthur Ashe Stadium!!
Club and Court is continuing to grow. We recently grew our team with two interns, who are absolutely killing it. Our brand is being recognized by so many of the top 100 ranked clubs! Thank you for all your support, your love for tennis, and your appreciation for iconic modern apparel. We couldn’t do it without you!!
My youngest graduated High School this year, so looks like I’m about to experience life as an empty nester. Fortunately, I have the passion for being an entrepreneur and the love from my family. This summer, my family celebrated all things with a bucket list trip, going to the Monaco Grand Prix!! For anyone who hasn’t watched 'Drive to Survive' on Netflix, run don’t walk. Anyway, here is how an experience of a lifetime all started, and how Club and Court outfits played a huge role in our trip.
During Covid, while I was kicking off Club and Court, my daughter became obsessed with F1 racing from watching the Netflix series 'Drive to Survive'. She pulled in the rest of the family, and we were also hooked. Jokingly, one night over family dinner, my daughter suggested that we take a family trip to Monaco for the Grand Prix, which is the origin of the race. Well, one thing led to another and the Evans family was on a plane to the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix.
Well, as we can all appreciate, the big question was “what do we wear”, and after doing google searches and talking with friends, we learned “you can never be overdressed in Monaco”! So we got to packing, keeping in mind the outfits and knowing that the Evans family motto when we travel and explore cities is “we walk everywhere”, so needed to dress the part while being comfortable, sporty, and cute. Club and Court outfits were the perfect solution.
Once we landed we hit the ground running in our favorite French neighborhood, St. Germaine. After a few stops at our favorite shops, including the Evans favorite, City Pharma, we were like kids in a candy store for our favorite French skincare brands…following this we hit our favorite local restaurant, Le Relais De L’entrecote.
Race day was amazing. We started the morning by swimming in the Mediterranean Sea, we walked the pits pre-race, and watched the race on the Circuit de Monaco. It was an exceptional experience of thrill and glamour.
And just when we thought the trip couldn't get any better, after a wonderful dinner we met some of the drivers! Without a doubt, the trip of a lifetime!!
As we head into the back half of summer, I wish you all the best for you. Don’t forget Club and Court as your “go-to apparel” and please share your stories and pictures with me. Next stop . . . the U.S. Open!!
À bientôt,
Lara Evans
